Today's athletes are being watched, evaluated, and judged more than ever — on camera, in interviews, on recruiting calls, and across every social feed. These are the moments that decide how an athlete is seen, recruited, and remembered. Most have never been trained for a single one of them.

OWN THE SPOTLIGHT changes that in one day. Led by two-time Emmy Award-winning broadcaster and former athlete Stephanie Grady, this is a hands-on experience where every athlete steps in front of the camera and builds the communication and media performance skills that talent alone can't teach.

Location: The GRIND Academy, 6230 S. Decatur Blvd., Las Vegas, NV

Who: Male and female student-athletes ages 15–22, all sports

Special pricing available for current GRIND Academy athletes and teams registering five or more. Capacity is limited — early registration is encouraged.

EVERY ATHLETE WILL:

  • Step in front of the camera and train real on-camera delivery, presence, and body language

  • Practice recruiting and media interviews with live, individualized coaching and immediate feedback

  • Learn to film themselves for social, recruiting, and brand content that actually stands out

  • Develop a personal brand and narrative — how to answer "who are you beyond your sport?"

  • Master the NIL essentials — the rules every athlete needs to understand, how NIL works right now, and how it changes at the next level

beyond training:

  • Confidence and composure when the cameras, pressure, and expectations are highest

  • Awareness of how they're perceived online — and control over the story they tell

  • Communication skills that carry into recruiting, leadership, and life beyond sport

  • The presence to stand out for the right reasons, on and off the field
