###
GRIND Academy has opened its first campus in Las Vegas, uniting modern academics, high-level athletic development, and a parent partnership model that keeps home and school on the same page. Built for student-athletes in grades 6–12, GRIND delivers small classes, daily tutoring, supervised strength and speed work, recovery education, and four-year college counseling—all scheduled to work with training and travel.
Why GRIND now
Families asked for an alternative to one-size-fits-all schools. GRIND answers with a college-prep schedule that aligns class blocks, study hall, training, and recovery so students maintain momentum in both arenas. The program emphasizes disciplined habits: sleep, nutrition, study blocks, and smart training. Because habits win on the field and in the classroom.
What families can expect
Academics that fit the athlete’s day
Seminar-style classes focus on writing, problem solving, and communication, with Honors and AP available by readiness. Tutoring, study skills, and a make-up testing window support travel weeks.
Athletics with safety and measurable progress
Strength, speed, and sport-specific sessions run in supervised groups with written plans and safe ratios. Trainers coordinate with teachers to balance load, season, and recovery.
Personal development and family partnership
Mental performance, leadership, executive function, and life skills are taught alongside academics and training. Parents are active partners through a Family Playbook, monthly workshops, and advisor touchpoints designed to make home routines simple and effective.
Facilities built for growth
GRIND’s campus places classrooms steps from training zones and a recovery suite so students can move efficiently through the day. The performance side features multi-rack strength areas, sprint lanes and timing, ergs and sleds, functional stations, and a dedicated athletic training room. Measurement tools include a body-composition station for tracking muscle, fat, and hydration trends over time, giving students and families real-time visibility into progress. An on-site Personal Chef program supports fueling and hydration with allergy-aware, training-aligned menus. All spaces are supervised by certified adults, with controlled entry, AEDs, posted emergency plans, and daily cleaning and equipment checks.
College & career readiness
From day one, advisors map four-year course plans, NCAA core alignment, and testing timelines. Students receive coaching on outreach, visits, essays, and scholarships. Where appropriate, GRIND teaches NIL literacy and smart media practices so student-athletes are ready for the modern landscape.
Founder’s vision
GRIND was founded by Sanjiv Chopra—an entrepreneur who built large health club chains and serves as President & CEO of Nevada-based Rhino Investments—and inspired by his two daughters’ love for sport and learning.
“We built the school my daughters needed: academics, athletics, and family on the same team. GRIND is a clear plan for growth—with standards you can see and outcomes we publish.”
— Sanjiv Chopra, President & CEO
Growth plans
The Las Vegas campus proves the model: a college-prep day school and professional-grade training environment working as one. GRIND’s goal is to partner with mission-aligned operators to expand into additional cities so more families can access a modern student-athlete education with consistent standards for academics, coaching, safety, and results.
